The Bike Lane Bike Rides, Events, and Races

Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!

Springfield- Wednesday Night Mountain Bike Ride

DayStart TimeDescriptionLocationPhone
Wednesday6:00 pmJoin Jeremy for a very fun semi technical Mtn Bike ride from our Springfield location every Wednesday at 6 p.m. We will be riding Accotink single track out to Wakefield and back to the shop. This is a no drop ride, individual ability levels will naturally form groups. As the group and rider levels progress we will slowly add on more miles. Please meet in front of the shop and be ready to ride at 6 pm, allow time to sign our waiver. Mountain bikes and helmets are required. Please bring water and nutrition. Experience riding single track is recommended. The trails are semi technical and the ride will last 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Rides will be cancelled if it is raining or if the trails are too wet to ride. If you have any questions or concerns please email jeremyd@thebikelane.com. Join us once a month for a post ride BBQ at the shop. The Bike Lane Springfield (703)-440-8701
